As A Self-Appointed Seltzer Sampler, I Just Had To Try The New Holiday Seltzer Packs From Truly And Bud Light

Wow, off to a great start! The taste immediately reminded us of gum drops and bubblegum. It had just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. We both really loved this one and didn’t have any complaints. We were both very pleasantly surprised!

We were definitely nervous about this one. I personally love eggnog, but it doesn’t seem like the kind of thing I’d want replicated in a seltzer. Well, this tasted and smelled mostly like nutmeg. It wasn’t heavy and didn’t taste weirdly creamy or like we were drinking fizzy dairy. We weren’t jumping up and down for it, but it wasn’t terrible. It certainly could’ve been worse. Overall, we agreed that eggnog is not a flavor we really want replicated in a hard seltzer. That being said, this seltzer wasn’t particularly bad or offensive! It just wasn’t our style. 

We were a little hesitant with this flavor because liquifying chocolate-covered cherries seemed like a bold move. Well, it smelled and tasted exactly like chocolate and cherries! I was pleasantly surprised and ending up liking it a lot more than I anticipated. I’m a big fan of marzipan candy, and this seltzer reminded me of that sweet marzipan flavor. Caitlin felt like it was perhaps too hearty a flavor for seltzer, and I can see where she’s coming from. I’m not sure how the average person will really feel about this one, but I enjoyed myself.  

This very much tasted like your standard, fruity hard seltzer. Simple, enjoyable, and effective. Neither of us really got a “holiday” vibe from it, but I think that’s alright! It means it’s the kind of seltzer that could easily be enjoyed year-round.

Right off the bat, it smelled like a candy apple! That was enough to get me on board. I love anything with cinnamon and apples in it, so this seltzer really worked for me. The after taste was nice and filled with spice. It even sort of reminded me of applesauce. It was really tasty and definitely made us feel festive. We both agreed it would probably pair really well with a shot of Fireball! 🔥 

Do you see my face? That is the face of a very tipsy, very excited, slightly confused person. Upon opening the seltzer, my nose was met with the enticing aroma of gummy bears! That’s right — this seltzer smells and tastes exactly like gummy bears and gummy worms. My taste buds were on cloud nine! Neither of us really got the “ginger” flavor, but we were obsessed nonetheless. I’m not sure it gets any better than this, folks. This seltzer knocks it out of the park. Does it taste like Christmas? Maybe not. But the taste was so lovely and nostalgic that we were won over instantly. Is this my new all-time favorite seltzer flavor? Maaaaybe. 

This one was tasty, but a bit generic. Orange-flavored things aren’t usually my first choice anyway, TBH, so I guess it was no surprise that I wasn’t doing a happy dance. It was good and I’d still drink it again, but it didn’t send either of us into orbit. I wouldn’t fight family members for the last can. 

Chug, chug, chug! Oh yeah, now THIS tasted like a holiday drink! It wasn’t as fruit-forward as I was expecting it to be, but it did pack quite the cinnamon punch! I could easily see this being a fan favorite at office holiday parties and family gatherings alike. It packs all the sangria flavor without the added sugar or wine-induced headache. It’s a win-win for me!
