“I opened a jar of peanut butter and accidentally dropped the lid on the ground. I cried for 10 minutes.”
“I cried because we learned in anatomy class that osteocytes (bone cells) are trapped in the bone matrix to maintain bone structure. I cried harder when we learned that osteocytes started off as osteoblasts, which build bones. So they basically build bone around themselves and then get trapped. I will never forget the blank stare my teacher gave me when I told her why I was sobbing in class.”
I saw a man and a woman riding their motorcycles and at a stoplight I heard him tell her to be careful on the next turn because it could get tricky. I bawled at how cute they were together, and how he was watching out for her.”
