Gabrielle Union has Chloe Bailey’s back. She sent the “Do It” singer a supportive message on Twitter after some trolls criticized Bailey for being “too sexy” in Instagram posts.

First, Union retweeted a glowing comment writer Yolo Akili sent the singer, and then she told Bailey to “keep shining” and be herself.

Perfectly said. Feel this 🖤 and know we gotchu. @chloexhalle please continue to fly. Soaring while under attack is hard asf but you are not alone. Never alone. We gotchu. Keep shining! https://t.co/RgtDYV0dg9

After Bailey was subjected to negative comments on her attempt at TikTok’s viral “Buss It” challenge, and a video she posted of herself smudging her room, she spoke out.

“It’s really hard for me to think of myself as a sexual being or an attractive being quite frankly,” she said while tearing up on Instagram Live. “So, when I see all the uproar about my posts and stuff, I’m a bit confused. Like, I really don’t understand because I’ve never seen myself in that way.”

While addressing the haters, Bailey talked about how important it is to stay true to yourself.

“For every woman out there, don’t change who you are to make society feel comfortable,” she said. “Everybody, it doesn’t matter what people tell you. Whatever you’re going through, say fuck that.”

Like Union said, Bailey has every right to do as she pleases and “keep shining.”
