We asked teens of the BuzzFeed Community to tell us what they really want for the holidays this year — yeah, you’re welcome, we did the hard work for you. Check out some of the things they’re wishing for!

1.

A pair of wireless earbuds like the popular AirPods, or a less expensive, but still awesome option like TaoTronics. They can listen to their favorite music, shows, movies, audiobooks, and online lesson plans just by connecting to Bluetooth.

Hello! I am not a teen, however, I am a recent AirPods customer, and am here to vouch for why these wireless headphones make for an awesome, useful gift. For starters, I will say that I was very hesitant about splurging on AirPods. I already had the wired Apple headphones, and splurged a couple years ago on these super cushiony Beats headphones — the last thing I needed were AirPods.

Alas, Amazon had a good deal on them on Black Friday, so I purchased them, and after a week of use, I’m already wondering why I waited so long to buy them. It’s truly wonderful not having to worry about untangling a wire, or there even being a wire separating my earbuds and my device. When I wanna go for a walk, I no longer (literally) feel tied to my phone. When I’m sitting down at my laptop doing work, and need to get up and stretch or walk around the room for a minute, I don’t need to take my headphones out or bring my laptop with me. Plus, one of the features I love about these, is that whatever audio you’re listening to automatically stops when you take them out of your ears. They also automatically turn on when you start wearing them. So, basically, they’re magical, and I love them, and I highly recommend them! —Sam Wieder (aka, ME!)

Get the Apple AirPods (left) from Amazon for $128.98, and the TaoTronics (right) from Amazon for $49.99.

A Nintendo Switch or Switch Lite to help keep any teen that loves to game, entertained for hours. I am an adult, and my Nintendo Switch is one of my favorite quarantine gifts to myself.

Nintendo

Suggested by: epithet1, afriasiaabc, olivialevy1, delaneygreczyn

Hi, it’s me again! I got the Nintendo Switch back in April, and it’s still one of my favorite quarantine purchases I’ve made. For starters, at a time where things are… stressful, to say the least, it’s been really nice to have a mindless form of entertainment whenever I want to just de-stress.

I bought my Nintendo Switch to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I loved playing Animal Crossing on my GameCube when I was younger, so the nostalgia aspect of the game was a big selling point for me. The best part of it though is the fact that it truly feels like an escape from reality. I love that I can spend hours interacting with my adorable villagers, designing my dream home, and building/re-arranging my very own island. I definitely want to explore other games, but from the standpoint of someone who bought this console literally for just one game and still loves it, I can tell you this really is a great purchase. —Sam Wieder (aka, ME!)

Get the Nintendo Switch (left) from Best Buy for $299.99 (available in three colors), and the Nintendo Switch Lite (right) from Amazon for $199 (available in four colors).

I got it in gray, which is a lovely neutral, and goes perfectly with my living room. One side is the soft faux-fur side, and the other is the soft fleece-y side. Both sides are warm and super soft.
